Our Story
A world without borders
between people
and wildlife
Wild Pangea was born from a belief that the most powerful thing you can do for the ocean is to truly see it, with patience, reverence, and care.
Why Wild Pangea
The name behind the mission
The name Wild Pangea is inspired by Pangea, the ancient supercontinent that once connected all of Earth's landmasses, symbolising a world without borders. We believe in restoring that sense of connection between people, wildlife, and nature, including our oceans.
Wild reflects the raw, untamed beauty we seek to protect. Our expeditions are designed to leave a positive impact, prioritising conservation, supporting local communities, and ensuring every encounter is respectful and meaningful.
Behind the Vision
Meet Szabi
Wild Pangea was founded by Szabi Nemeth, a professional photographer and passionate explorer who has traveled to over 90 countries. With more than 20 years of experience behind the camera, Szabi has dedicated himself to capturing the untamed beauty of the natural world.
Over 6 years of underwater photography and 30 years as a certified scuba diver, including certification as a PADI freediving instructor and SSI Divemaster, have given him an intimate, respectful relationship with the ocean that goes far beyond the surface.
He created Wild Pangea to blend a love for wildlife and adventure with a commitment to conservation. Every expedition is built on his belief that ethical wildlife encounters and local partnerships are key to protecting the natural world for future generations.
Our Philosophy
How we operate
Everything we do is guided by a deep respect for the animals we encounter and the ecosystems they depend on. These four principles shape every expedition, every decision, and every moment in the water.
Ocean-first ethics
Every decision starts with what's best for the animal and the ecosystem. The ocean's wellbeing comes before any shot.
Expert mentorship
Award-winning photographers guide you in the water and behind the lens, sharing 20+ years of field knowledge.
Intimate groups
Never more than 6 people in the water. Ever. No compromises. This protects the animals and deepens your experience.
Real images
Leave with photographs that tell a story, not just proof you were there. Images with soul, context, and meaning.
"Hearing a whale's song underwater is something I'll carry for the rest of my life."
